The Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 has been developed for purist drivers seeking a raw supercar experience. Its a strictly limited edition based around a two-wheel drive system with limited slip differential and sequential e-Gear system makes this a true Road legal race car.

The point of this Lamborghini is to minimise the amount of technology between car and driver, so that its power, balance and grip can be exploited and enjoyed at every turn. Powered by the 90-degree V10 5.2-litre engine that develops 550hp at 8,000rpm and 540Nm of torque at 6,500rpm, there is plenty to be exploited.

The Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2s sharp-edged and dramatic body is built around a structural aluminium space frame, based on extruded parts that are welded to cast aluminium joint elements. Its highly advanced, light and extremely strong. The panels are aluminium with thermoplastic hang-on parts, and the rear spoiler is electronically controlled.

Delivering the super-responsive handling is a suspension system using double wishbones front, rear and full ESP with ABS, ASR, and ABD. None of these driver aids cloud the direct communication that comes from the primary controls and chassis.

Performance is, as you would expect, impressive, with 0-100km/h achieved in 3.9 seconds and a maximum speed of 320km/h.
